Public Night for Plug-In 2009 Conference & Exposition
The Plug-In 2009 Conference & Exposition, taking place at the Long Beach Convention Center, opens its doors to the public on Aug. 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. As plug-in hybrids move closer to showrooms, see these vehicles on the exposition floor and learn about the potential to drive cars that average 100 miles per gallon, plug into an outlet at home to provide local all-electric driving range, lower fuel costs and help protect the planet by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and smog-forming pollutants.
• Exposition hall open: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Vehicles scheduled for display include the Chevy Volt, Ford 550 Plug-In Hybrid Truck, Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid, Plug-In Toyota Prius and more. (Vehicle displays subject to change.)
• Discussion on Plug-In Hybrid and Electric Vehicles: Getting the Message Out: 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Panel members will discuss their adventures in crafting educational and entertaining messages about plug-in technology, and what the public can do to help shape a plugged-in future. Speakers:
