First Renewable Energy Rodeo- June 7th-10th at Fort Bliss, Texas

This is a really cool and exciting event. The U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and Fort Bliss are co-hosting the first Renewable Energy Rodeo and Symposium. The event will display the latest mature technologies and innovations in renewable energy concepts and alternative fuel technologies available. Subject Matter Experts (SME) panel discussions and guest speakers will include some of the nation’s top experts in these fields and technologies. SME panel sessions will convene to brief and discuss critical energy topics affecting the military and the nation.

This is a very reasonably priced event to attend.  The registration fee is only $100 and students are admitted free of charge.  Given the cost and the cutting edge topics to be discussed, only the proximity to the Mexican border drug violence will keep potential attendees away.  This is what will be discussed:

Topic #2 – Army Energy Security Strategy

 Topic #3 – RDECOM Perspective

Topic #4 – Technology Development Activities

 Topic #5 – Security Energy

Panel #2 – Generation, Distribution, Conservation

Topic #1 – Regional Issues and Alternatives

Topic #2 – Municipal Concerns and Plans

Topic#3 – Army Energy Sustainability

Topic #4 – Revitalizing Domestic Energy Industry

Topic #5 – Renewable Systems Integration
