Tesla's Manufacturing and Engineering Boss Resigns

The top manufacturing and engineering manager for Tesla Motors Inc. is said to be resigning his position with the company and going to work for a Michigan consulting firm. Mike Donoughe (50), a former Chrysler executive  joined Tesla in July 2008.

He will become a senior partner at St. Clair Consortium, which focuses on product development in Grosse Pointe Park  effective Oct. 1.
